Cel collects nothing.

Cel does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and makes no network connections.

Screen capture

When you press the hotkey, Cel captures an image of your screen so that Apple's Live Text can recognize the text in it, on your Mac. That image is held in memory only while the overlay is on screen and is discarded when the overlay closes. It is never written to disk, never sent over the network, and never shared with anyone.

Clipboard

Text you copy goes to your clipboard and nowhere else.

Settings

The only things Cel stores are your hotkey choice and whether it opens at login, kept in the app's preferences on your Mac.
